A study was carried out in Colonia Degollado de Iztapalapa with the aim of knowing the causes of school dropout, it was found that 71.87% of people dropped out of school around the age of 14, 19.35% at the primary level, 53.12% during middle school and 19.35% in high school.

According to the School Dropout Survey that was carried out in Colonia Degollado de Iztapalapa, we found that 71.87% dropped out of school before the age of 14, due to: There was no money at home or there was no money for things of school (supplies, tickets or registration) (55.17%), They considered that working was more important than studying (51.72%) They considered that studying was of little use (34.48%) They had problems understanding teachers (34.48%) )
At Proyecto DUQ we want to change this reality by providing educational tools to our boys and girls. We do this through reading comprehension workshops, regularization workshops, literacy and computer workshops.
